“I was born in Eureka CA where we lived for 4 years. My parents, both from North Carolina moved back to the mountains where we lived for a short while, until we headed to the mid-west state of Illinois.”

“Being the oldest of four, I had alot of responsibilities. Those were wild days though in the 70′s,being a free spirited flower child. Well, you can only imagine. I took full advantage!”

When we first talked, you told me you had four husbands and one wife; briefly share that story with me.

“That’s more than one story, that’s five! Lol! My first marriage I was a virgin and seventeen, he was twenty. We met, fell in love, and married within six months. I truly believed this was my destiny. The perfect marriage by all outward appearances. He is the father of my three children and a good Dad. The second, was six years younger; a charming abuser. Then there was number three; the “badboy” . Number four, well we all have one of those “I knew better” relationships. I now have a Life partner.”

How did you meet your current life partner?

Ms. Pegg
“I met Karen through a mutual friend. It was instant attraction, automatic committment. We decided at that moment to go for it, establish goals and a solid foundation.”

When did the two of you decide to launch an online dating service?

“October 12, 2011; our 10 year anniversary.”

What were some of the struggles you faced during the pre-launch phase?

“Where to start was the biggest . Working the business plan, and now ..here we are months later!”

What are some of the inherent issues with dating at 50?

“This is my favorite question. There is a lot of pressure turning 50. We are the new 40 right? We are sexier, more successful, more sure of ourselves. We are active and more involved phyhsically and mentally. Love and relationship dynamics don’t change when you turn fifty. Respect, honesty and communication are still the foundation. There seems to be a “I love ‘em mature” or cougar trend going on. We are not afraid to date someone “different”. We are embracing technology or are we? I speak to far too many lonely men and women, who think it’s too late to find love. I say look in the mirror, get out, get online, flirt and find love!”
