I.O.U. SEX by Sandy Nachlinger and Sandra Allen

I.O.U. SEX by Sandy Nachlinger and Sandra Allen is an awesome read and super awesome promise!

In this semi-autobiographical hot read, I.O.U. SEX by Sandy Nachlinger and Sandra Allen is about best friends June, Kiki, and Peggy graduated from Dallas’s Rayburn High School – all of them still virgins.

After all, they were good girls. But in I.O.U. SEX by Sandy Nachlinger and Sandra Allen, years later, when the three women gather and read June’s high school diary, they joke about the sexual frustration they caused their steady boyfriends back then. That’s when Kiki makes a startling statement.

“When you think about it, and I’m only trying to be fair, we owe those guys sex.”

With bawdy jabs and tipsy laughter, they vow to track down their old boyfriends and just DO IT, which is something they definitely did NOT do back in high school. Lives intertwined, the three friends share their quest with sexy, poignant, and sometimes hilarious results.

Is each woman’s sexual I.O.U. paid in full? Will everyone get what he or she deserves? Or is this just another one of Kiki’s crazy ideas?

About the Authors:

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, I met my friend and co-author Sandra (Hood) Allen in Mr. Herman’s homeroom class at L. V. Stockard Junior High School. Over the years, we went to college, married, had careers, raised children, moved around the country, and retired, but we have always stayed in touch through snail mail letters (more recently, email too) and remained the best of friends. Sandra lives in Texas – I live in Washington State.

Our idea for our first novel, I.O.U. SEX, came from reading my high school diary. What a hoot that was! To write the book, we collaborated via email, cell phone, and in-person meetings. Our main characters – June, Kiki, and Peggy – became our close friends, and we discussed their problems as if they lived just down the street.

We hope our readers enjoy reading I.O.U. SEX by Sandy Nachlinger and Sandra Allen as much as we enjoyed writing it.

  1. Thank you for featuring I.O.U. SEX today. However, I must correct one thing: this story is NOT semi-autobiographical! Are you trying to get us in trouble with our husbands??

Yes, we are both Baby Boomers who were teenagers in Dallas, Texas, during the 1960s. And yes, reading my high school diary did inspire us to co-author I.O.U. SEX. But those are the only things remotely autobiographical about the story. There’s no way either one of us would track down our old boyfriends, especially to offer them sex. So, just to set the record straight, this book and the characters portrayed in it are merely the product of our overactive imaginations and are completely fictitious.

One more thing. I.O.U. SEX is also available in ebook format for only $2.99.

  2. Philippe,
Thank you for writing such a great review of our book, I.O.U. SEX!
Both Sandy and I love hearing that others liked what we wrote. I find it especially inspiring when men read it. I loved your first line, that our book was “…an awesome read and super awesome promise.” LOL.
It made me laugh to think that a guy would anticipate the “awesome promise” of having an old girlfriend offer him payback sex, while a woman would probably worry about doing that. As you no doubt discovered when you read the book, our imaginations are quirky! I guess I.O.U. SEX is somewhat semi-autobiographical due to the fact that we both grew up in Dallas and used many of our old haunts in the story. And we did read Sandy’s old high school diary which gave us the idea for our story, but the rest was pure fiction and lots of fun to create. I love your classification of “exceptional thinkers”, and I consider Sandy and I to be exactly that, as well as our three friends–June, Kiki, and Peggy–who gave us lots of laughs along the way! Thanks again for your wonderful review!
