Experiences lead you to where you are today. From offering financial advice to providing the support needed by people to make a change, Ronald surely has come a long way.
Born in London, Ronald was educated in Swindon and Bath and graduated from Prior Park College in Bath, England in 1975. He finished school with Diplomas in Art and Commerce.
In 1988, Ronald moved to the USA. He opened his own business – which ran for eight years – called Design in Display which was based in New York City and specialized in providing Interior Design and Visual Merchandising. While running his business, he attended the Fashion Institute of Technology.
A change is going to come
Ronald didn’t stay in the interior design business for long as family matters forced him to switch careers. This time, he made a living in the mortgage banking industry. This was his job for the next twenty years where he advised clients on buying, selling and positioning their real estate assets.
And he was good at his job. Throughout his career in the mortgage banking industry, he received Senate Citations, requests to work on housing initiatives with various New Jersey State Departments and was asked to provide technical assistance on housing issues.
It was during this time that Ronald realized that people needed more help than just getting financial advice. This prompted him to be a motivator for change.
Today, he is a published author, keynote speaker and consultant on managing life’s changes.
A published author and writer
So far as an author, Ronald has published four books. In line with his expertise in the field of real estate, he wrote a book called My Castle, My Jail which looks into the residential home ownership industry and traces its growth to today’s global financial source. The book is presented through the journey of three generations of Ronald’s family across Europe and the USA.
In 13 Steps to Positive Change, There Is No Fourteenth Floor, Ronald takes thirteen stories from his own life and interprets them into episodes of positive growth and development. Hear on introduction to this book here.
Ronald has also produced books on quotes – essentially a resource to show how others have thoughts of challenges in their lives and how they have faced difficulties. The first one is called Life Cycles: 113 Quotes to Guide Your Daily Decisions. Due to the response received by the first, Ronald put out a second book on quotes called 113 Reasons to Read these Quotes: A Fearless Guide to Making Better Decisions.
Apart from having published books on managing life’s changes, Ronald also shares his expertise online. He has written articles such as Importance of Coaching to Make Optimum Progress, 6 Solid Ways That Mentoring Guides You Back to Business and Why Is Creativity Important in Business – just to name a few.
As a keynote speaker and consultant
Apart from doing several speaking engagements, as well as taking part in mentoring and coaching, Ronald also hosts and produces the ManagingChange2 internet radio show. The program is an hour long and features guests talking about the challenges we all face and providing solutions for business and career.
Ronald’s work revolves around “finding those intangible Assets that produce Tangible Results by engaging in the Human side of Change.” He believes that his is possible by looking at human development in a comprehensive manner. By looking into the needs, skills and interests of individuals, a balancing reality and meeting expectations can be achieved. But what makes this all possible is to willingly engage in change.
In addition to speaking engagement and mentoring sessions, Ronald also engages in several interviews about what he does, and this includes being on The Philippe Matthews Show.
