“Buddakan;” serving modern Asian Cuisine in a huge banquet hall-like setting with chandeliers hanging from high ceilings, and enough space to seat 275 people. It looks like a palace, and serves an incredible mixture of Asian and European flavors, textures, and ingredients. CiCi didn’t just sample the food; she headed to the kitchen to learn from the chefs, and even went to work making dumplings.

CiCi Li has been the producer and TV host of two food and travel programs with Food Paradise. She has always been intrigued with how easily food can define culture. She’s curious and adventurous and claims she’ll eat “anything!” A native of Bejing, CiCi spent her childhood in South East Asia, mainly Singapore and Thailand and then voyaged to New York City at the age of 11 with her family. CiCi attended Santa Clara University in California with a major in Marketing. After a few years of getting her feet wet in the corporate world , CiCi moved back to New York City. She ate her way through the streets of NYC and concluded her next career would have to center around eating her way throughthe world.
