KILLARNEY, Ireland (AP) -Colm Moriarty upstaged major winners Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell at the Irish Open on Thursday, shooting a 4-under 67 to take a surprise share of the early lead at his home tournament.

Alexander Noren has maintained his lead at the Wales Open after a third round in which defending champion Graeme McDowell slumped to an 81 and fell 11 strokes off the pace.

South African journeyman Keith Horne led the Wales Open after shooting a 7-under 64 in the opening round Thursday, with defending champion Graeme McDowell trailing by three strokes at Celtic Manor.
