At 53 stories, the Ritz-Carlton, Toronto features 267 guest rooms, each with floor-to-ceiling windows featuring panoramic views of the city or Lake Ontario. Rooms range from deluxe suites ($500 per night) to its 2,400-square-foot Ritz-Carlton suite ($6,000 per night).

British shoemaker Barker Black, established in 1880, recently opened its second U.S. store on North Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles. The new store’s decor highlights the brand’s heritage with walls of wooden shoe lasts and its signature skull-and-crossbones motif.
